This Privacy Policy explains how ZenTick (https://zentick.tech) handles information when you use our free Pomodoro timer, read our guides, or browse related pages. We built ZenTick to work without an account; most data stays on your device.

Information we collect

Data stored on your device

Timer settings (focus and break lengths, sound choice), your task list, keyboard-hint preferences, and optional focus statistics are saved in your browser's local storage. We do not receive this data on our servers unless you explicitly share it (for example, using your device's share feature).

Server and hosting logs

Our hosting provider may record standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamp for security and reliability. We use this only to operate and protect the service.

Analytics

If enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage (pages visited, general traffic patterns). Analytics is configured for production only. You can limit analytics via browser extensions or Google's opt-out tools.

Advertising

On content pages (guides and informational articles), we may show Google AdSense ads. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. See How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites. The live timer page does not load ad scripts.

Notifications

If you allow browser notifications, they are triggered locally when a timer phase ends. We do not store notification content on our servers.

Display ads on editorial pages, where enabled
Respond to support requests you send by email

Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where applicable, we rely on legitimate interests to operate the site, on consent for optional notifications and ad personalization managed by Google, and on compliance with law when required.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help run the site (hosting, analytics, advertising) under their respective policies, or when required by law.

Retention

Local data remains until you clear site data in your browser. Server logs are retained for a limited period consistent with hosting practices. Analytics retention follows Google Analytics settings.

Use ad and analytics opt-out tools provided by Google and your browser

Children

ZenTick is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do.
